iCal in Lion is FUCKED

Consider this a bug report. Workaround is to disable iCal with extreme prejudice, and get BusyCal.

Problem #1. Won’t talk to my work calendar any more. Was talking to my work calendar, which flunked the upgrade, and somehow scragged the subscription some way that required me to resubscribe in BusyCal (which now works properly).

Problem #2. After making me hate it because of problem #1, it fucking keeps fucking waking up. I’m going to compress the damn thing so it can’t run, maybe that will fix it. Can’t find the “stop annoying me with your fucking waking up” option. I tried changing the calendar update interval to “Manual”, that didn’t do it, either.

I tried to compress it, then delete the original, and it told me I couldn’t, because iCal is Special.

So I opened a terminal window, and “sudo chmod 000 /Applications/iCal.app”.

That did it. No more waking up and annoying me just because I entered an event in the calendar progam that doesn’t suck.
